SMU flips 2025 Texas Tech WR commit Isaiah Robertson
SMU pulled off a flip from Texas Tech, landing 2025 Arlington (Tex.) wide receiver Isaiah Robertson, who committed to the Red Raiders in November.
According to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies, Robertson ranks as the No. 123 overall wide receiver and No. 128 prospect in Texas.Robertson also held offers from Arkansas and Kansas.
He was a versatile piece for Arlington this fall, contributing in all three facets of the game. In front of On3 against Mesquite (Tex.) Horn, Robertson made plays on both sides in impressive fashion albeit in a loss.
Robertson, who will play wideout at SMU, notched 39 catches for 437 yards and four touchdowns in 2023. He added 206 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 12.1 yards per carry. In all, he had 643 scrimmage yards and six touchdowns, good for 11.48 yards per touch.

With Robertson on board, SMU now has 16 commitments in the 2025 recruiting class. He joins four-star quarterback Ty Hawkins, four-star DeSoto (Tex.) wide receiver Daylon Singleton, three-star Houston (Tex.) Heights offensive lineman Devinn Farris, three-star Duncanville (Tex.) defensive back Javion Holiday, three-star Duncanville (Tex.) safety Tyren Polley, three-star DeSoto (Tex.) safety Sael Reyes, McKinney (Tex.) defensive back Zay Gentry and three-star Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy defensive back Elijah Pratt as Texas natives committed.
Outside of the state, SMU holds commitments from Harbor City (Calif.) Narbonne linebacker Mark Iheanachor, four-star Los Angeles (Calif.) King Drew Medical Magnet EDGE Chinedu Onyeagoro, Snellville (Ga.) South Gwinnett EDGE Jalen Shivers, Daphne (Ala.) Bayside Academy tight end Miles Uter, Santa Margarita Catholic (Calif.) offensive lineman Jacob Maiava and Corona (Calif.) Centennial offensive lineman Drew Hill.
