SMU releases Nevada game depth chart
SMU Football kicks off its 2024 season on Saturday in Reno, taking on Nevada. Head coach Rhett Lashlee released his team’s depth chart this week. He’s ready to see his team come out and execute against the Wolf Pack, led by first-year coach Jeff Choate.
“It’s an easy answer to say, it’s about us. Every coach in America is probably saying that right now and we’re not wrong,” SMU’s head coach said on Tuesday. “We’ve got to go out and take care of us and be excited to play. We’ve got to be disciplined. A lot of times the first few games of the year, you see a lot of penalties, you see the sloppiness, particularly with offenses, ball’s on the ground, special teams. How crisp can we be early on in the season and hopefully mitigate some of that rust that is often there. But, at the same time, it is a challenge.”
