SMU Basketball learns inaugural ACC schedule
SMU Basketball, under first-year coach Andy Enfield, learned its ACC schedule Tuesday evening, the league announced.
SMU’s first ever ACC game is set for Sat., Dec. 7 in Dallas against Virginia. The Mustangs will make the return trip to Charlottesville, Va. on Jan. 15.
SMU will play its first 2025 home ACC contest against Duke on Sat., Jan. 4 inside Moody Coliseum then head to North Carolina on Jan. 7 for a road contest in Chapel Hill. Keeping in the state of North Carolina, the Mustangs face NC State on Jan. 25 in Raleigh.
SMU plays host to Georgia Tech on Jan. 11, Louisville on Jan. 21, Cal on Jan. 29, Stanford on Feb. 1, Pitt on Feb. 11, Wake Forest on Feb. 15, Clemson on Feb. 22 and Syracuse on March 4.
In additional road matchups, on Dec. 21 SMU makes the trek to Boston College. Miami hosts the Mustangs Jan. 18, Virginia Tech on Feb. 5, Notre Dame on Feb. 19, Cal on Feb. 26, Stanford on March 1 and Florida State on March 8.
The ACC Men’s Basketball Tournament is March 11-15 at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina.
SMU will play at Oklahoma State in a charity exhibition game on Oct. 26. The Mustangs’ season opens at Moody Coliseum on Nov. 4. SMU will play an 11-game non-conference schedule that includes seven teams that made the postseason last year. SMU’s pre-league slate includes a home matchup with Mississippi State (Nov. 22), a neutral-site game in DFW versus LSU (Dec. 14), a road game at Butler (Nov. 15) and two games in the Acrisure Holiday Invitational (Nov. 26-27).
