SMU offers Texas State TE transfer Micah Hilts
SMU Football offered Texas State tight end transfer Micah Hilts, he announced on Twitter on Tuesday. The 6-5, 255-pounder will have one year of eligibility remaining.
He played in 10 games with 13 receptions for 174 yards and a touchdown in the 2019 season before sitting out as a medical redshirt in 2020.
In his freshman year in 2019, he tore his ulnar collateral ligament (UCL) before halftime in the season opener at Texas A&M. He fought through it and kept playing all season while wearing a brace. In 2020 as a sophomore, he tore his pectoral muscle in the first week of fall camp.
