SMU OL Marcus Bryant enters NCAA Transfer Portal
SMU offensive tackle Marcus Bryant entered the NCAA Transfer Portal on Tuesday, On3’s Pete Nakos reported on Twitter. Bryant will have one season of eligibility remaining.
Bryant started 29 games in 42 appearances for the Mustangs since he started playing in 2020 as a true freshman. The Round Rock, Texas native has started at left tackle the past three seasons for the Mustangs.
The 6-8, 318-pounder from Cedar Ridge High was an All-AAC First Team selection after the Mustangs won the 2023 AAC Championship.
Bryant’s the second starting offensive lineman for the Mustangs to enter the portal, joining center Branson Hickman.
Bryant went from a low three-star prospect on the On3 Industry Ranking in 2020 to one of the top offensive linemen in the transfer portal. Now the Mustangs are replacing three starters off last season’s offensive line.
