SMU QB commit Tyler Aronson sets official visit
2024 Vero Beach (Fla.) quarterback and SMU commit Tyler Aronson will officially visit the Hilltop on June 15. It’s already a busy recruiting weekend for the Mustangs with multiple official visitors.
This spring, he took a week-long visit to Dallas, getting an extended look at his future home.
“I enjoyed every bit of it, being able to spend more time with coach Brewer and coach Lashlee, talk some more with them, and then see how they coach practice,” Aronson told On3. “I got to spend some time in meetings with the quarterbacks, and see what they go through on a daily basis, so it was pretty cool. On top of that, just being able to go around and see parts of the city that I hadn’t seen before.”
Aronson is taking an active role in the 2024 recruiting class, visiting with prospects while he was on campus.

“I enjoy all of it, I feel like it kind of comes natural to me,” he said. “There’s a lot of stuff around SMU that is trending in the right direction, I think once you can get people on campus, and have them meet the coaches, you can see that they are definitely doing stuff the right way, and are trending in the right direction. I enjoyed being able to meet some of the other kids who were on campus.”
According to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies, Aronson ranks as the No. 57 overall quarterback in the country and No. 128 overall prospect in Florida.
