The ACC Championship game between SMU and Clemson is set for Saturday at 7 p.m. CT on ABC in Charlotte, N.C. from Bank of America Stadium.

Matthew Hibner keeps SMU in it

Clemson scores to go back up by three possessions

SMU starts out second half with a touchdown
12/07/2024 09:25:27 PMThe SMU defense got a huge stop to start the second half. And the offense drives right down the field and scores an easy touchdown. Brashard Smith was wide open on his wheel route for the 10-yard touchdown. SMU now trails 24-14 with 11:04 to go in the third quarter.

12/07/2024 07:58:39 PMIt’s been a disastrous start for SMU. Between blown coverage and multiple turnovers, things couldn’t have gone much worse. The Mustangs must flip the script in the second quarter if they want to keep this game competitive.
Touchdown Clemson
12/07/2024 07:46:41 PMAfter a questionable roughing the pass call against SMU, Clemson converts a couple of third downs. Klubnik already has three passing touchdowns. This one went for 43 yards to Bryant Wesco for his second touchdown of the game.
SMU with a much needed answer
12/07/2024 07:36:55 PMThe Mustangs moved down the field, going 75 yards in 10 plays. The drive was capped off with a 24-yard rushing touchdown from Kevin Jennings. SMU back in it now, they trail 14-7 with 7:05 to go in the first quarter.
All Clemson early on

Cade Klubnik got his second passing touchdown of the night when he found Jake Briningstool on a screen pass for the 5-yard touchdown. SMU needs to regroup and fast. Clemson out to an early 14-0 lead.

Clemson forces the early turnover
12/07/2024 07:16:52 PMKevin Jennings didn’t see the pressure coming on his left side and took a hit. Jennings couldn’t hold onto the football during the hit and Clemson recovers the fumble. The Tigers takeover at the SMU 34-yard line.
SMU takes the field for warmups
12/07/2024 06:21:28 PMWhile Clemson was on the field at least two hours before the kickoff time, the Mustangs were pulling up to the stadium about an hour and a half before gametime. SMU’s wide receivers, including Romello Brinson, were having fun before the game with t-shirts off and dealing with the elements. Brinson’s been out for much of the season with bursitis, but secured a redshirt and is now able to play.
