SMU vs. Duke: How to watch, streaming, channel, ACC Network

Once again, SMU will play in front of the ACC Huddle crew. There are plenty of storylines in this one as SMU head coach Rhett Lashlee faces his former boss in now Duke head coach Manny Diaz, who hired him as offensive coordinator at Miami in 2020.
“There’s probably not a coach in college football that I respect more than Manny Diaz,” Lashlee said this week. “I don’t like playing friends, got a bunch of friends over there from Manny and Patke on the defensive side, obviously Jonny Brewer and Gator Lamascus on the offensive side over here with us. David Feeley is the straight coach there. They’re great people, they do it for the right reasons. Manny’s awesome at creating winning cultures and I think you’ve seen them do that there and I’m definitely a better head coach for getting to work with him for a couple of years. Gonna be a big challenge for us. We’re excited about the opportunity.”
The Mustangs enter the matchup against the Blue Devils as 11.5-point favorites, according to FanDuel on Wednesday. The over/under total for the game is currently 48.5 points. SMU’s moneyline to win is -480, while Duke’s moneyline is +360.

SMU’s coming off a 40-10 win over Stanford on the road to move to 6-1 while Duke is fresh off beating Florida State for the first time in program history, winning 23-16.
Duke defensive coordinator Jonathan Patke said this week that the familiarity between the two coaching staffs makes this interesting. He’s expecting his Blue Devils unit to be ready on Saturday.
“You’re going to face a very similar offense to us,” Patke said at the Duke press conference this week. “Everybody has their own wrinkles based on their personnel, so you try to get inside of the mind of Coach Brewer because that’s like trying to get in the mind of Coach Lashlee, who does a fantastic job. He’s seen this defense when we were at Miami so he knows who we are and how we play. And he’s a good football coach. We’ll be ready.”
