SMU vs. Georgia Tech: How to watch, channel, stream, spread
SMU Basketball hosts Georgia Tech on Saturday at 3 p.m. CT on ESPN2 as the Mustangs look to bounce back after two straight losses.
For Andy Enfield’s squad, he’s hoping for a bounce back performance after losses to No. 4 Duke and at North Carolina. Both outings featured poor offensive results for SMU.
“We hope that Saturday we come out and play great, hold home court,” Enfield said after the UNC game. “We have to get back, it’s tough to win on the road, especially at North Carolina with the amount of talent that they have and especially when you don’t shoot the ball that well like we did tonight. We have to regroup and get ready for Saturday.”

The point total for the game is currently set at 154.5 points. Georgia Tech saw its three-game winning streak come to an end against Syracuse in a 62-55 loss on Tuesday.
SMU has one of the top offenses in the ACC still despite the past two games against ACC blue bloods Duke and North Carolina. Georgia Tech head coach Damon Stoudamire said his team, which spent part of the week in College Station avoiding the snow, will have to be ready.
“It is an emphasis, SMU is a good ball club, I think keeping them off the offensive glass is important and we have some challenges I’m looking forward to,” Stoudamire said. “I’m excited to play against these guys. It is crazy to look at it, last year at this time our record was a little bit better and we came out of the break and lost 3 of 4 and this time we’ve won 3 of 4 and I feel better about where we are moving forward. We are going to be able to be in games, it is a matter of finishing games. SMU is a great challenge and they have a good record but caught two of the best in the league in Duke and UNC can be really good when their guards are on.”
Up next, SMU begins a two-game road trip at Virginia Wednesday and Miami (Jan. 18).
This marks the 15th meeting between the Mustangs and Yellow Jackets and first since Dec. 21, 1986 in Tokyo, Japan. That was the only meeting since 1971 after the programs played in 13 straight seasons from 1959-60 to 1971-72. The two programs have met seven times in Dallas, and SMU holds a 6-1 lead in those matchups. The Mustangs won the most recent meeting in Dallas, 93-70, on December 18, 1971 at Moody Coliseum.
