SMU vs. Mississippi State: How to watch ACC Network Extra
The 4-1 SMU Mustangs welcome the Mississippi State Bulldogs to Moody Coliseum in Dallas on Friday night for a key cross-conference matchup. Tipoff is slated for 7:30 p.m. CT on ACC Network Extra.
The ACC Network Extra is a streaming-only channel, which is exclusive to ESPN.com and ESPN+, which means it requires a cable or live TV streaming subscription to access.
Andy Enfield’s squad is coming off of a 110-69 victory over Prairie View A&M. It was a bounceback performance after the Mustangs suffered their first loss of the season against Butler on the road.
Despite the uneven final score, Enfield wasn’t thrilled with how the Mustangs started the game against Prairie View, causing him to switch the lineup completely. It was a strategy that worked well, but not one SMU hopes to need to employ against an opponent like 4-0 Mississippi State.
“Well, the starters were down 12 to 5 and gave a very poor effort,” Enfield said after the Prairie View A&M win. “Especially defensively, so I took the whole team out and put the five new guys in, and I think they went on a 19 to 2 run or something like that. I’m not sure what the exact numbers were, but they played very well. Decided to do the same thing the second half to start those guys because they deserve it.”

Last time out, the Mustangs had two scorers finish with 17 points apiece – Matt Cross and Chuck Harris. The duo also combined for 15 boards (12 from Cross) and seven assists (five from Harris). Head coach Andy Enfield said after the game that Cross appeared to be in his best form since returning from injury, which bodes well for SMU as they enter the holiday stretch of matchups. Keon Ambrose-Hylton finished third amongst the scorers with 14 points after going 7-for-8 from the free throw line.
The SMU Mustangs will continue their homestand in Moody Coliseum after an appearance in the Acrisure Holiday Invitational against the California Baptist Lancers on Tuesday in Palm Springs. They’ll welcome Alabama State then Virginia in Dallas to start December.
