FINAL: SMU 110 – Prairie View A&M 69
SMU put up a season high 110 points tonight on their way to a 110-69 route over PVA&M. The Mustangs move to 4-1 on the season as they get set to host the Mississippi State Bulldogs on Friday. SMU finished with five different guys in double figures as they continue to prove they have many options to turn to offensively. After a close first half, SMU dominated the Panthers in the second half which sealed the fourth win of the Andy Enfield era.
SMU sprints to 100 points
After a relatively tight first half, the Mustangs have totally run away with it in the second half. SMU leads PVA&M 100-63 with 3:49 to go in the game. SMU has kept up their offensive production in the second half and gotten enough stops to pull away. Matt Cross has earned himself a double-double as he’s notched 17 points and 12 rebounds so far.
Mustangs pulling away
After the Panthers hung around for all of the first half and much of the second half, SMU is starting to pull away. SMU now holds their largest lead of the night, 82-57. Mustangs have four players in double figures: Chuck Harris (15), Matt Cross (13), Samet Yiğitoğlu (11), and Boopie Miler (11).
SMU looking for breathing room
The Mustangs come out of halftime and go on a 7-0 run in the first 4:15 of the second half. SMU now has its largest of the game as they lead 58-46 with 15:45 remaining in the second half. SMU is beating Prairie View A&M 21-7 in the last 8:09 of game time. Chuck Harris has 15 points, and Matt Cross is just behind Harris with 13 of his own.

HALFTIME: SMU 51 – Prairie View A&M 46
The Panthers are playing like they belong, shooting right around 50% from the field at the half. The Mustangs eclipse the 50 point mark for the 3rd time this season. On the other side of the ball, SMU needs to clean up the defense in the second half. Chuck Harris leads the way for SMU with 11 points at the break.
Mustangs holding onto tight lead
After a battle in the early minutes, SMU is holding on to a seven point lead, 34-27. Prairie View A&M won’t go away as they’ve already attempted 13 three pointers, making four of them. The Panthers are hanging around, but it feels like a matter of time until SMU really pulls away.
SMU back in control
After going down 12-5 early, the Mustangs responded by going on a 15-2 run to take a 20-14 lead with 11:44 to go in the first half. Chuck Harris with a couple of early threes as he is up to six points.
Prairie View A&M hot out of the gates
The Panthers started the game 5-6 from the floor and took an early 12-5 lead, forcing Andy Enfield to burn his first time out. Since then, the Mustangs have gone on a 7-0 run to tie the game at 12. 14:19 to play in the first half.
