SMU vs. Stanford: How to watch, channel, stream, spread
SMU takes on Stanford at 5 p.m. CT inside Moody Coliseum on Saturday in a battle for teams tied for fourth in the ACC. The Mustangs are 16-5 overall with a 7-3 ACC record
The latest win, a 76-65 victory over Cal on Wednesday at home, came without forward Samet Yigitoglu, who was out with a shoulder injury. The Mustangs face one of the best bigs in the country in Stanford’s Maxime Raynaud and could use the 7-2 footer on the floor Saturday.
“Yeah, he was fouled numerous times in that NC State game and some were called, some weren’t. But he had aggravated, just kind of an aggravation [of the shoulder], he got a little swelling,” SMU head coach Andy Enfield said after the Cal game. “But he’s actually improved a lot in the last few days. So we expect him to be day-to-day from here on out. We just out of precaution, sat him out tonight. But he has certainly improved in the last few days.”
SMU has won two straight, five of its past six games and 12 of its past 15 contests.

The point total for the game is currently set at 148.5 points. Stanford sits at 15-6 overall and 7-3 in ACC play, including conference wins over North Carolina, California, Virginia Tech, Virginia, Florida State, Syracuse and Miami.
SMU’s settled in well on the defensive end as of late, limiting opposing teams more so than it did earlier in the season. They’ll have their hands full with Raynaud. The Pac-12 Most Improved Player last season, Raynaud is 11th nationally in scoring at 20.5 points per game and third in rebounding with 11.9 per night.
“Well, that’s the difference between our team now and our team in the beginning of the season. We would not have held NC State to 57 on their home board or 65 tonight,” Enfield said. “We were not very good defensively starting the season. And we had a lot of guys in and out, Matt was hurt, Samet wasn’t eligible yet, and other guys didn’t understand what our defensive system was all about; we had 10 new players. So it took some time for us to really focus on that. And we’ve had some ups and downs throughout the season.”
