BREAKING: South Oak Cliff OL Narado Stoker commits to SMU
2023 Dallas (Tex.) South Oak Cliff offensive tackle Narado Stoker added an SMU offer to his list in March and on Friday he announced his commitment to the Mustangs. Stoker checked out SMU multiple times this spring and it paid off as the Dallas program was on him from the beginning.
On his visit during spring practice, getting a chance to watch SMU offensive line coach Garin Justice work with his players stood out. The Mustangs were the first FBS school to offer the 6-4, 290-pounder.
“I like coach Justice. I saw how he motivates his players at practice,” Stoker told On The Pony Express. “Overall, it looks like a great place. I like the energy there. It looks like a good place to work and compete. I loved it. It was a great experience.”
The On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies, has yet to rate Stoker. Along with SMU, he held holds offers from Bowling Green, Purdue, TCU and others.
His position versatility is something he said earlier this spring that stands out about his game.
“As a player I’m the guy that can and will get the job done. I can play any position needed, my name is Big Mike. I simply play big,” Stoker said. “I focus on the little things and make sure I get the job done. I play fast and hard. Definitely gonna be playing harder and faster this season.”

Narado Stoker becomes commitment No. 4 for SMU
While Rhett Lashlee’s staff continues to do great work via the transfer portal, SMU has a trio of other 2023 pledges on board. Lucas (Tex.) Lovejoy wide receiver Jaxson Lavender started things off before Frisco (Tex.) linebacker Brandon Miyazono and Dallas (Tex.) South Oak Cliff wide receiver Randy Reece jumped on board.
According to the On3 Consensus, Lavender ranks as the No. 98 overall wide receiver and No. 121 overall prospect in Texas. Miyazono ranks as the No. 95 linebacker in the nation and No. 170 prospect in Texas. Reece ranks as the No. 126 overall wide receiver and No. 147 overall prospect in Texas.
