Walton held offers from over 20 schools during his high school recruitment, including Texas A&M, Tennessee and Oklahoma State, among a slew of others. SMU was also among those programs to offer.
At South Oak Cliff, Walton won back-to-back state championships to close out his high school career. He was a former Oklahoma State commit before the Longhorns came calling, flipping him late.
