“Now, really the challenge is, we’ve got to keep our guys hungry. I feel good about the maturity of that, but we’ve got to come out ready to play,” SMU head coach Rhett Lashlee said after the game. “Rice is playing really good football and I know they’re about to play now, but they’re playing really good football and we’re going to go on the road again. We’ve just got to take it one week at a time and so far those guys have been able to do that.”
