WATCH: Casey Woods previews SMU vs. Tulane
SMU offensive coordinator Casey Woods met with the media on Tuesday to preview SMU’s matchup with Tulane in the AAC Championship Game on Saturday. Check out the video for his full press conference ahead of the matchup.
The Mustangs take on a Tulane defense that’s among the best in the country and the offense will need to execute with Kevin Jennings now at the helm.
“They’re a really good unit and they’re really simple,” Woods said. “They’ve got three or four calls that they execute at a really, really high level. They’ve got good players that have won. I mean, they’re the champions. They’ve done that, they’ve beaten Southern Cal. They know what it’s like to be in this game and win this game and they are talented, they are physical, they are confident and they execute really well.
“Their scheme allows them to give you problems in both the run game and the pass game and the way that they play, obviously, demands that you that you execute at a high level.”
