WATCH: SMU commit Jaylen Moses in action
SMU reeled in a commitment from 2024 Carrollton (Tex.) Newman Smith defensive back Jaylen Moses before the season. The local prospect was in action last night, helping his Trojans to a win over Denton on Thursday.
Check out the highlights below of the future Mustang from the 39-7 win.
When he gets to the Hilltop, he knows it’s going to be a process to gain weight and that’ll lead to playing time. He comes into a safety room that won’t require him to play right away, which will allow him time to develop.
“I really need to put some weight on before I can start playing,” Moses said. “I see a lot of success. With coach Hunley and Symons, I feel like they’re going to get stuff really shaking up there.”
UTSA, Tulane, Arkansas State and Louisiana were also in the mix for the three-star prospect, who officially visited SMU in June.
