On what sparked the 32-3 run in the first half [KAH]: “Yeah, our energy. Our energy for sure because we made sure in practice to dictate our defense when we play hard in practice.” [Oquendo]: “[Chris] Capko came up to us before the game and told us we had to get up on defense. We just took what we had, I think we smelled blood a little bit, but we just kept going with it.”
On getting the team’s first game under their belt: [KAH]: “Yeah, it feels good. Every team has their first game. I feel like for us, we stayed poised from the beginning to the end. Yeah, we had mistakes here and there, but we bounced back which shows that we are resilient and we are able to fight through adversity.” [Kario Oquendo]: “Our first couple exhibitions didn’t go how we wanted them to, so I think tonight we learned from those [games] and made sure went out there and played as hard as we could and I think everybody left it on the floor.”
