6-foot-4 transfer wide receiver commits to South Carolina

Another intriguing player has been added to the South Carolina wide receiver room, as Nevada transfer wide receiver Dalevon Campbell has committed to the Gamecocks.
He is the second commitment of the day at the position for Shane Beamer, joining Florida State transfer wide receiver Vandrevius Jacobs.
The news of Campbell’s pledge to South Carolina was reported on Tuesday night by Hayes Fawcett of On3.
Campbell made an official visit to Columbia over the weekend, that taking place on the heels of a trip to Oklahoma State. Arkansas and Duke were also in the mix for the 6-foot-4, 218-pounder.

During the 2023 season, Campbell played in all 12 games for the Wolfpack, starting nine. He led the team in receiving yards – tallying 594 in total – on 31 receptions.
In 2022, he caught 38 passes for 459 yards and a score.
Prior to his tenure at Nevada, Campbell spent three seasons at Illinois. He is originally from Houston, Texas, where he played high school ball at Fort Bend Marshall alongside current Miami Dolphins back Devon Achane.
South Carolina has been very active in the transfer portal at the receiver position. During the postseason window, the Gamecocks added three receivers: Gage Larvadain from Miami (Ohio), Jared Brown (Coastal Carolina), and Ahmari Huggins-Bruce (Louisville).
