As one would expect, South Carolina is a huge betting favorite over Wofford in this weekend’s SEC vs. FCS matchup.
While most sportsbooks don’t even touch FBS vs. FCS games, FanDuel Sportsbook has the Gamecocks favored by 42.5 points with an over/under of 49.5.

South Carolina (7-3, 5-3 SEC) has won the last 17 meetings between the two schools and holds a 20-4 all-time lead in the series.
The two teams have only faced off five times in the modern era with South Carolina earning wins in 2001 (38-14), 2006 (27-20), 2008 (23-13), 2012 (24-7), and in 2017 (31-10).
Wofford’s last win over South Carolina occurred more than a century ago, on November 17, 1917, by a 20-0 score, which also marked the Gamecocks’ last trip to Spartanburg. The Terriers’ other three wins came in 1895, 1896, and 1901, with their last victory in Columbia being a narrow 6-4 triumph in 1896.

South Carolina, winners of four straight, earned an iconic 34-30 victory over Missouri Saturday night at Williams-Brice Stadium in a game for the ages and moved up to No. 18 in the new College Football Playoff rankings. Redshirt freshman quarterback LaNorris Sellers threw five touchdowns, including the game-winner on a shovel pass to Rocket Sanders with 15 seconds to go to help lead the Gamecocks to the win.
That four-game streak also features doubled-digit victories over Vanderbilt, Texas A&M, and Oklahoma.
Wofford is 5-6 on the season and 3-5 in SoCon play.
The Gamecocks are set for a 4:00 p.m. kickoff Saturday against Wofford in what will be their home finale.
