A'ja Wilson inks multi-year deal with Gatorade
Former South Carolina Gamecock and current Las Vegas Ace star A’ja Wilson has added another high-profile brand to her sponsorship portfolio. The two-time WNBA MVP has agreed to a multi-year partnership with Gatorade, the company has announced.
The Hopkins (SC) native joins an exclusive list, which has seen a continued growth with female basketball stars in recent years. Some of those players who currently have deals include Indiana Fevers’ Caitlin Clark, and UConn’s Paige Bueckers.

“We’re thrilled about the addition of A’ja Wilson to our elite athlete roster ahead of the 2024 WNBA season,” said Jeff Kearney, Gatorade’s head of sports marketing. “A’ja has already had an outstanding career full of many accomplishments, and we’re excited to be fueling her as she furthers her impact within sport and beyond.”

According to the company, Wilson will be part of her first Gatorade campaign later this spring. Wilson, who is represented by Jade-Li English, the daughter of Gamecock and NBA great Alex English, has seen a steady growth with her endorsement deals since entering the WNBA in 2018. Just last year, she became the first player in the WNBA to sign a deal with Mountain Dew. Wilson also became the first female athlete to partner with Ruffles.

The news comes ahead of the two-time defending WNBA champion returning to play on her home college campus at Colonial Life Arena this weekend. Wilson and Las Vegas will be facing the Puerto Rican National Team in a preseason game on May 11.
