Aliyah Boston joins ESPN's Final Four coverage team

Former South Carolina All-American and WNBA 2023 Rookie of the Year Aliyah Boston will join ESPN’s desk crew this week for Final Four coverage live from from Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland.
“It is a dream to be a part of such a special weekend and I’m so glad that God has opened this door for me. I could not be happier to join this incredible team,” Boston said, according to a release from ESPNPR. “As a player there was no bigger thrill than the Final Four. I’m really excited to return, share my experience, and shine a light on the amazing players we’ll see take the court in Cleveland.”
Boston, who has made prior appearances on TV as an analyst, will team up with host Elle Duncan, Hall of Famer Carolyn Peck, Sports Emmy nominee Andraya Carter and WNBA All-Star Chiney Ogwumike on the championship weekend desk.
“We are incredibly excited to welcome such a legend to our set,” said Sara Gaiero, ESPN’s vice president of production. “Aliyah will bring great energy to our already stellar crew, and we cannot wait to watch what she brings to our coverage as someone who won the National Championship just two years ago.”

Boston was a four-time All-American and two-time National Player of the Year among a host of other honors during her South Carolina career which also included a national title in 2022.
Boston, who was drafted No. 1 overall by the Indiana Fever last year, averaged 14.5 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game in her first season with the club.
The Gamecocks are set to take on N.C. State on Friday at the Final Four with tipoff scheduled for 7 p.m. on ESPN. The winner of that game will take on the winner of Iowa and UConn (9 p.m., Friday, ESPN) in the national championship on Sunday.
