Blake Franks signs with South Carolina
It’s signing day in South Carolina, and signatures from prospects continue to roll in for Shane Beamer’s Gamecocks program.
The latest prospect to officially ink with Gamecock football is Greenville (SC) IOL Blake Franks.

Franks israted by the On3 Industry Ranking as a three-star prospect. He is additionally ranked as the 541st-best prospect in the 2024 class and the 46th-best interior offensive line prospect nationally.
He is the 7th best prospect in the state of South Carolina according to the On3 Industry Ranking and projects as an early enrollee next month.

Franks will be joined by his Greenville teammate Mazeo Bennett in the 2024 class.
The Upstate product is also part of what is being called the “Great Wall of Carolina” this cycle, a group that includes fellow o-line prospects Josiah Thompson and Kam Pringle.

Why South Carolina? “Coach Teasley and Coach Shane Beamer, they really put their best foot forward,” Franks’s high school coach Greg Porter said on his decision. “They really showed that they care. I think that might have been the separation amongst all of them, no offense to anybody. But they just seemed to show a little bit more of a caring atmosphere and I think that was what he was used to and that was what he needed. South Carolina did a great job recruiting him.”
