His brother, Okku Federiko, is a member of South Carolina’s 2024 recruiting class. The Omnia Basketball Academy (New Jersey) product is ranked by On3 as the nation’s 15th-best power forward nationally and the number 89 overall prospect in the country.
It is expected that Lamont Paris and his staff will be active in the transfer portal this offseason following a stellar second year in Columbia that resulted in an NCAA Tournament berth.
While there is no confirmed report yet that South Carolina will pursue Federiko, the connection and skill set would make sense as a possible portal addition for the Gamecocks.
Paris did outstanding work in the transfer portal last offseason, adding Ta’Lon Cooper, BJ Mack, Myles Stute, and Stephen Clark to a roster that would go on to achieve a 26-8 record this season.
