From DMV to the 803! Four-star CB commits to the Gamecocks
Shane Beamer scored another big recruiting win out of the DMV region as cornerback Braydon Lee has jumped into the South Carolina Gamecocks’ 2024 class.
The 6-foot, 160-pounder committed to USC over offers from a host of Power 5 programs including Maryland, North Carolina, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Penn State, Tennessee, Miami, Texas A&M, Auburn, and others.

Lee was in Columbia over the weekend to watch the Garnet and Black Game inside Williams-Brice Stadium, that following a January visit with his mother in tow.
“My relationship with pretty much everyone on the coaching staff continues to grow. Coach Lucas, Gray, Beamer, all the assistants and recruiting assistants,” Lee told GamecockCentral.com in January. “Everyone loves me, I love all of them. It’s a mutual respect and mutual love.”
The On3 Industry Ranking, an equally weighted average of rankings from all four major recruiting services, tabs Lee as a four-star prospect.

He’s ranked as a top 300 player nationally regardless of position and as the No. 8 prospect in the state of Maryland.
Flowers is considered the No. 28 cornerback in the country.

Lee is the third prospect to commit to South Carolina on Wednesday as his teammate, Flowers three-star OL Mike Williams and Florence (S.C.) West Florence four-star DB Kelvin Hunter also committed to the Gamecocks.
That continues South Carolina’s historic start to the 2024 class which is current ranked in the Top 5 in the On3 Team Recruiting Rankings.
The 10-man class now features eight four-star prospects.
