Double-byes still up for grab in SEC Tournament

The final stretch of the regular season is upon us. For South Carolina (22-5 overall, and 10-4 in SEC play), that means trying to hold onto one of the four top spots in the SEC.

If the Gamecocks are able to finish in the top four in the conference in the regular season, that would earn them a double-bye in the SEC Tournament. Teams who finish between fifth and tenth place will earn just a single bye with the bottom four having to compete in essentially a play-in game.

With four regular season games to go, South Carolina’s remaining strength of schedule ranks as the ninth toughest in the country. Only Tennessee has a tougher schedule to close out the year for SEC teams.

The majority of teams in the SEC still have four games remaining. Below are the top six teams in the conference and what the early predictions are for their matchups. Below that is the currently SEC standings.
