Final availability injury report before South Carolina and Missouri's afternoon kickoff at Williams-Brice Stadium
South Carolina comes into their home contest against Missouri on a three-game winning streak. However, according to the availability injury report, the Gamecocks will be without a few players in the trenches and one from the backfield.
The team will be without defensive tackle Nick Barrett again, and defensive end Gilber Edmond on the defensive line. Barrett also missed last week’s contest against Vanderbilt, while Edmond hasn’t played since South Carolina’s win over Oklahoma.

Running back Matthew Fuller and offensive lineman Jakai Moore also were ruled out on Wednesday’s injury report.
However, DQ Smith, who missed last week’s game after a pregame injury, was no longer listed on the report. He’ll likely be good to go as the Gamecocks secondary gets healthier against Missouri. Smith is eighth on the defense with 30 combined tackles in eight games.

On the defensive line, rotational piece DeAndre Jules is in line to return. The senior defensive tackle has not played since the loss to Ole Miss in early October.
Though Josiah Thompson left last week’s game and didn’t return, he’s not listed on the final availability injury report Saturday. Fuller, Edmond, Barrett, and Moore are the only four Gamecocks listed on the report.

The big question coming out of the Missouri camp this week was the health of Brady Cook. The Tigers starting quarterback missed last week with wrist and ankle injuries. Despite being listed as doubtful on Friday’s report, the Missouri signal caller is listed as a true game time decision.

Other Tigers on the report include starting center Connor Tollison and third-leading receiver Mookie Cooper. Both players will not suit up. Defensive ends Darris Smith and Joe Moore will also miss the contest. Rounding out the report for the Tigers are third-string quarterback Sam Horn and linebacker Khalil Jacobs, both of whom will not suit up.

The SEC recently approved a player availability injury report system for football, men’s and women’s basketball and baseball.
SEC school personnel must submit availability injury reports three days before each football game, with daily updates leading to a final report 90 minutes before game time. For basketball and baseball, reports are filed the night before, with an update on game day.
When schools submit injury reports, players will be designated as available, probable, doubtful, and questionable before game day. On game day, designations will be available, game-time decision or out. The model follows injury reports similar to the NFL.
The Gamecocks and Tigers are set for a 4:15 p.m. ET kickoff at home on Saturday afternoon, with SEC Network carrying the action.
