Final injury report before South Carolina-Texas A&M game
South Carolina is getting good news on the injury front heading into the Texas A&M game.
Speaking on his weekly radio show, Shane Beamer said the Gamecocks are in a great spot health-wise and expects Christian Beal Smith to play this week.
“We’re in as good a position health-wise since the first game,” he said.
Beal-Smith had a good week of practice and the plan is for him to be available against the Aggies Saturday night. The Gamecocks are also expecting all the guys who missed the Kentucky game to be available as well.

South Carolina is going to be without a Corey Rucker and Terrell Dawkins, both of whom are still working themselves back from injuries.
Rucker’s been banged up for most of the year while Dawkins, who would have been in the rotation at defensive end if healthy, was hurt midyear and expected to miss 4-6 weeks at the initial prognosis.
Beamer said he’s getting closer and closer to playing, although he didn’t give a specific return date. Dawkins practiced this week, Beamer said.
“He continues to come along and get closer and closer to hopefully being ready to get back on the field as well,” Beamer said Tuesday.
