Four-star EDGE becomes first portal commitment for South Carolina
South Carolina football has its first commitment from the transfer portal this offseason, as Missouri transfer Jaylen Brown has pledged to the Gamecocks, per On3’s Hayes Fawcett.
The Madison (Alabama) Clemens product quietly made an official visit to South Carolina last cycle, but ultimately stuck with his commitment to the Tigers.

In his only season with Missouri, Brown played 37 snaps and had 2 tackles. One of the two games he registered a statistic in was in a loss to South Carolina. According to Missouri football’s official statistics, he played in six games and will be a sophomore in 2025.
