Five former South Carolina football players will have the chance to participate in the 2024 NFL Draft Combine, the league announced on Tuesday.

Quarterback Spencer Rattler, wide receiver Xavier Legette, tight end Trey Knox, offensive lineman Nick Gargiulo, and cornerback Marcellas Dial were all invited to the combine, which will begin on Feb. 26 and conclude on March 4.

It will take place at Lucas Oil Stadium, the home of the Indianapolis Colts.

Rattler and Legette were in Mobile, Ala. for the Senior Bowl, the premier postseason college all-star game for NFL prospects, with Rattler taking home MVP honors.

Rattler not only won the game’s MVP award, completing all four of his throws and tossing a touchdown pass in limited action, but he also consistently drew praise throughout the week of practices, which is arguably more important than the game itself.

“Had a chance to watch Xavier and Spencer practice,” South Carolina head coach Shane Beamer said the week of the game. “And it’s great seeing those guys, first of all, two great representatives of our program. So I really enjoyed getting to watch them, but also getting to talk to them and visit with them. And it’s been great getting to hear from so many NFL personnel while we were down in Mobile that afternoon about both those guys and how impressive they’ve been, not just on the field and practice, but in interviews that take place down at the Senior Bowl and whatnot as well.”

Dial, a two-year starter at South Carolina, participated in the East-West Shrine Bowl, while Knox and Gargiulo participated in the Hula Bowl.
