Florida tight end sets South Carolina official visit
Another offered prospect has set an official visit to South Carolina for this summer.
Jupiter (Florida) Benjamin School tight end Preston Douglas is scheduled for the weekend of June 7, he noted on social media on Wednesday morning.
Douglas made his first trip to South Carolina last month, an April unofficial that drew a strong review from him.
“I really like all the coaches, like Coach (Ryan) Yurachek (analyst) and Coach (Shawn) Elliott,” Douglas told GamecockCentral.com after that visit. “We had a great talk, just really bonded. Then I had a tour of all the things, got to see some practice, and talk some more. The facilities are nice, but the whole staff is really cool, too.

He has previously indicated that he would like to make a college choice this summer.
Another highlight of Douglas’ previous visit to South Carolina was his conversation with head coach Shane Beamer.
Said Douglas: “We had a great talk with him, and he was super nice, and we just talked about his goals and all that, but he also told me and my family how he sees me in their program, which is a big deal to me. You don’t want to go somewhere where they don’t have like like an image of how they see you in their program, and so he explained that to us, and that was a pretty big deal.”
