P.J. Dozier is expected to sign a one-year contract with the Minnesota Timberwolves, according to a report by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. He was previously acquired by the Timberwolves before the 2022-23 season but did not appear in a game for the team.

Dozier spent the past season playing professional basketball in Serbia for Partizan Mozzart Bet. Across 54 AdmiralBet ABA League and EuroLeague games, he averaged 8.8 points, 2.9 rebounds and 3.2 assists per contest.

Dozier is a six-year NBA veteran who most recently played with the Sacramento Kings during the 2022-23 campaign. He has also played for the Oklahoma City Thunder, Boston Celtics and Denver Nuggets. The forward has appeared in 121 games and averaged 5.7 points per game over the course of his NBA career.

Dozier was tabbed a five-star recruit by ESPN and 247Sports before committing to South Carolina ahead of the 2015-16 season. He averaged 10.4 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game in 70 contests with the Gamecocks.
