Four-star OL commits to South Carolina

Kamari Blair announced a commitment to South Carolina football on Wednesday night, choosing the Gamecocks over Ole Miss and Tennessee.
The 6-foot-6, 280-pounder is rated by the Rivals Industry Ranking as the No. 274 overall prospect in the country and the No. 22 offensive tackle in the 2026 class.
The Clarksville (Tennessee) Kirkwood product took an official visit to Columbia during the weekend of June 6 and consistently gave high marks to Shane Beamer’s program.

“The connection with the players can’t be matched. Coach Beamer even makes the players know everybody’s name. A couple of the players said they were sitting in meetings and Coach Beamer called them out and made them name everyone in a row,” Blair told GamecockCentral.com after the trip this summer. “That’s a lot different than other places in the country. The family, the brotherhood, is just beautiful.”

The four-star performer was recruited to Columbia primarily by offensive line coach Lonnie Teasley, who made a big impression on him throughout the recruiting process.
Blair got his first look at Teasley’s coaching style during a spring unofficial visit to USC.
“Coach Teasley, he’s more of a teacher than a screamer,” Blair said. “Even in spring practices, he made sure guys understood what they were doing, not just yelling at them and not fixing their mistakes. Coach Beamer hits me up more than any other head coach in the country. He’s really down to earth and really tries to connect with the guys. The weather is obviously beautiful.”
In addition to his SEC finalists, Blair also carried offers from FSU, Missouri, North Carolina, Penn State, Wisconsin, and a host of others.
