Gaffney four-star OL Shed Sarratt commits to South Carolina

South Carolina football’s recruiting momentum continued Friday night.
Gaffney (S.C.) class of 2025 On3 four-star offensive lineman Shed Sarratt, one of the Gamecocks’ top targets at the position, announced his pledge to South Carolina.
The 6-foot-3.5, 290-pounder chose the Gamecocks over offers from Florida, Tennessee, Florida State, Colorado, and NC State, among others.

Sarratt was most recently in town for the Gamecocks’ spring game on April 20.
“The atmosphere was amazing,” Sarratt told On3. “I love how the coaches keep in touch. I love how it’s not that far from home.”
The Gaffney standout, who had a big spring on the recruiting trail, was recruited to Columbia by offensive line coach Lonnie Teasley and recruiting assistant Sam Serbay.
“The blocking schemes they run we run in high school so it wouldn’t be that new to me,” Sarratt said.

Sarratt made a big jump in On3’s ratings in the spring.
He now has a rating of 91 from On3, up from the 86 he had previously, and is ranked the No. 181 overall prospect and No. 12 interior offensive lineman in the class. That makes him the No. 4 in-state prospect in the class of 2025.
