Final injury report before kickoff
By Collyn Taylor
Shane Beamer mentioned there would be some clarity on South Carolina’s injury front later in the week but it seems things are still cloudy, at least publicly.
Beamer, speaking on his weekly call-in show, said a horde of players is still “questionable” for Saturday’s game against No. 1 Georgia.
The statuses of Boogie Huntley, Corey Rucker, David Spaulding, Cam Smith and RJ Roderick are all still fuzzy heading into game day Saturday.

“Still up in the air on a lot of these guys,” Beamer said. “We’ll see what happens on the next couple days.”
The Gamecocks have one more day left before game day, which includes a walk-through Friday. But time is running out for those guys to be able to play.
All of those, if healthy, would almost certainly be rotational players with most starters.
Spaulding was South Carolina’s starting nickel for parts of last season while Roderick entered the season as one of the Gamecocks’ starting safeties before hurting himself on the first drive of the season.
Neither made the travel roster for South Carolina’s trip to Arkansas last weekend. Spaulding is dealing with a leg injury while Roderick left the game holding his arm.

Smith, a projected first-round pick entering the season, started both games for South Carolina this year but left against Arkansas with an upper-body injury.
