Gamecock commit earns MVP honors at UC Report Camp
South Carolina 2024 commit Dante Reno continues to shine as he prepares to head into his senior season of high school.
This past weekend, the four-star quarterback took part in the UC Report Camp in New Jersey, which is put on by Under Armour and ESPN. It featured some of the top underclassmen from the Northeast as they went through a variety of drills and an exhibition. Despite the rainy conditions, Reno earned MVP honors.

According to the company’s website, the UCReport is the No. 1 college recruiting database utilized by 64 out of 65 Power 5 schools and 100+ programs. The camp is directed by ESPN’s Scouts Inc. staff who evaluate for rankings and collecting video for television broadcasts and digital content.
As Reno shared in a recent interview with Gamecock Central, there’s still a handful of Power 5 schools who have continued to reach out to him. But as he’s said before, he’s locked into his commitment with the Gamecocks. He even gave a shoutout to Gamecock fans in a video from this past weekend’s camp.

There’s a lot of great players here. But as a side note, South Carolina fans I can’t wait to see you guys again. I can’t wait to be back in Columbia soon. Go Gamecocks.”
