Gamecocks hit five home runs | GC Minute: Wed., 2/22/23
After smacking 14 home runs over the weekend, South Carolina baseball picked up right where they left off last night. The Gamecocks hit another five home runs in a 19-3 win against Winthrop. Braylen Wimmer hit one of those home runs, giving him three now on the year. Although the season is early, the Gamecocks have now scored 68 runs in four games. Five different Gamecocks have hit at least three home runs. USC will be back at it today at 4 p.m. when they host Queens. The game will air on the SEC Network+.

No.2 Alabama men’s basketball will take on the Gamecocks tonight at 9. USC is 17.5-point underdogs. The Gamecocks are coming off a win at LSU in which G.G. Jackson was back in the starting line up and finished with 20 points. Lamont Paris told media on Tuesday that Chico Carter hadn’t officially been ruled out yet but it’s unlikely that he’ll be able to play in this one due to a linger knee injury.

And in women’s basketball, South Carolina will have a chance to claim the SEC regular season crown tomorrow night when they play at Tennessee. USC has just two regular season games to go.
