Gamecocks in the NFL: Week 1 recap

14 Gamecocks were active in Week 1 in the NFL, which kicked off this past Thursday night in Kansas City. Here’s a look at how every former South Carolina player in the league did this past weekend.

Dennis Daley – CARDINALS
After suffering an ankle injury during the final preseason game, Daley is currently on IR. That means he’ll miss, at minimum, the first four games of the season.

Rashad Fenton – CARDINALS
Like Daley, Fenton began the year on IR and will miss, at minimum, the first four games of the season. Fenton’s injury is “undisclosed.”

Jovaughn Gwyn – FALCONS
The rookie offensive lineman was inactive as a healthy scratch.

Jadeveon Clowney – RAVENS
The outside linebacker finished with one tackle and one QB hit.

Jaycee Horn – PANTHERS
The third-year defensive back had one tackle before leaving the game with a hamstring injury.

Hayden Hurst – PANTHERS
Hurst finished with five receptions for 41 yards on seven targets and caught a four-yard touchdown pass.

*Taylor Stallworth – PANTHERS
Stallworth is currently on the Panthers’ practice squad

Zacch Pickens – BEARS
The rookie appeared in just 12 plays and failed to register any stats.

Jalen Brooks – COWBOYS
The rookie wide receiver was inactive as a healthy scratch.

Rico Dowdle – COWBOYS
The forth year back rushed for 24 yards on six carries with a long of ten yards.

Stephon Gilmore – COWBOYS
In his first game as a Cowboy, the veteran DB made four tackles, deflected three passes, and had an interception.

Israel Mukuamu – COWBOYS
In what was a beatdown by Dallas’ defense, the third year defensive back recovered a fumble in the Cowboys win.

Nate Adkins – BRONCOS
The rookie tight end was inactive as a healthy scratch.

Kingsley Enagbare – PACKERS
Enagbare had one solo tackle and deflected a pass.

Keisean Nixon – PACKERS
The DB had eight tackles, including seven solo and a TFL. He also returned two kickoffs for 55 yards with a long of 28 yards.

Chris Lammons – COLTS
Lammons began the season suspended for three games for “violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy.”

Darius Rush – CHIEFS
The rookie defensive back was inactive as a healthy scratch.

*Zack Bailey – CHARGERS
Bailey is currently on the Chargers’ practice squad

Ernest Jones – RAMS
Jones had a team-high nine tackles, including four solo and and three TFL.

Cam Smith – DOLPHINS
The rookie DB did not see a snap on defense

Nick Muse – VIKINGS
The second-year tight end was inactive as a healthy scratch.

D.J. Wonnum – VIKINGS
Wonnum finished with four tackles.

*Kevin Harris – PATRIOTS
Harris is currently on the Patriots’ practice squad

Adam Prentice – SAINTS
The veteran fullback made one tackle on special teams.

Javon Kinlaw – 49ERS
The veteran defensive lineman had one tackle.

Deebo Samuel – 49ERS
The do-it-all wide out finished with five receptions on seven targets for 55 yards, including a long of 22. He also rushed for eight yards on two carries.
