Gamecocks in the NFL: Week 2 recap
16 Gamecocks were active in Week 2 in the NFL, which is up two from Week 1. That included a pair of rookies from South Carolina making their NFL debuts.
Here’s a look at how every former Gamecock player in the league did this past weekend.

Dennis Daley – CARDINALS
After suffering an ankle injury during the final preseason game, Daley is currently on IR. That means he’ll miss, at minimum, the first four games of the season.
Rashad Fenton – CARDINALS
Like Daley, Fenton began the year on IR and will miss, at minimum, the first four games of the season. Fenton’s injury is “undisclosed.”
Jovaughn Gwyn – FALCONS
For a second straight week the rookie offensive lineman was inactive as a healthy scratch.
Jadeveon Clowney – RAVENS
Clowney had a monster game racking up four tackles including three solo with a sack and two QB hits. He also deflected a pass.
Jaycee Horn – PANTHERS
The third-year defensive back was placed on IR last week after suffering a hamstring injury in Week 1.
Hayden Hurst – PANTHERS
A week after scoring a touchdown, Hurst caught all three passes that came his way for 20 yards. His long on the night went for nine yards.

Stallworth is currently on the Panthers’ practice squad

Zacch Pickens – BEARS
A week after appearing in just 12 snaps, Pickens saw an increase to his workload in Week 2. He’s yet to record a tackle this season but was on the field for 22 snaps. rookie appeared in just 12 plays and failed to register any stats.
Jalen Brooks – COWBOYS
The rookie wide receiver saw his first NFL action this past weekend. Although no passes came his way, he found a way to make an impact by blocking on a screen play.
Rico Dowdle – COWBOYS
The forth year back rushed for 26 yards on seven carries with a long of nine yards. He also caught one pass for 17 yards.
Stephon Gilmore – COWBOYS
Gilmore led the Cowboys in tackles with five. Of those five tackles, four were solo.
Israel Mukuamu – COWBOYS
The third year defensive back failed to record a stat in the Cowboys win.
Nate Adkins – BRONCOS
The rookie tight end made his NFL debut over the weekend, which included making a key block that helped Denver score a rushing TE. Watch the tight end in motion at the bottom of your screen (45).

Kingsley Enagbare – PACKERS
Enagbare had four tackles including three solo.
Keisean Nixon – PACKERS
The DB had two tackles. He also returned two kickoffs for 55 yards with a long of 30 yards.
Chris Lammons – COLTS
Lammons began the season suspended for three games for “violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy.”
*Zack Bailey – CHARGERS
Bailey is currently on the Chargers’ practice squad

Ernest Jones – RAMS
For a second straight week, Jones finished with a team-high in tackles. This weekend he racked up ten tackles including five solo.
Cam Smith – DOLPHINS
While the rookie DB didn’t record a stat, he certainly earned respect last night because of his play on special teams.
Nick Muse – VIKINGS
For a second straight game, the second-year tight end was inactive as a healthy scratch.
D.J. Wonnum – VIKINGS
Wonnum finished with four tackles including one solo.
*Kevin Harris – PATRIOTS
Harris is currently on the Patriots’ practice squad
Adam Prentice – SAINTS
Despite not recording a stat, the veteran fullback saw plenty of time both of offense and on special teams. He contributed some keys blocks in the Saints win against the Panthers on Monday Night Football.

Javon Kinlaw – 49ERS
The veteran defensive lineman had one tackle and deflected a pass.
Deebo Samuel – 49ERS
Finishing with 101 yards of total offense, Samuel caught six passes for 63 yards. He scored his first touchdown of the season in the fourth quarter on a seven-yard run.
**Darius Rush – FREE AGENT
The rookie defensive back was released by the Kansas City Chiefs on Saturday. He cleared waivers, which means any team can sign him now to either their 53-man roster or practice squad.
