Gamecocks in the NFL: Week 3 recap

13 Gamecocks were active in Week 3 in the NFL, which is the fewest number of active South Carolina player appearing in NFL games so far this season.

Here’s a look at how every former Gamecock player in the league did this past weekend.

Javon Kinlaw – 49ERS
The veteran defensive lineman had one tackle and deflected a pass.

Deebo Samuel – 49ERS
Finishing with 101 yards of total offense, Samuel caught six passes for 63 yards. He scored his first touchdown of the season in the fourth quarter on a seven-yard run.

Jovaughn Gwyn – FALCONS
For a third straight week the rookie offensive lineman was inactive as a healthy scratch.

Jadeveon Clowney – RAVENS
Clowney finished with three tackles and was credited with 0.5 sack. He also had two QB hits.

Jaycee Horn – PANTHERS
The third-year defensive back remains on IR after suffering a hamstring injury in Week 1. That means he won’t be eligible to return until Week 5, at the earliest.

Hayden Hurst – PANTHERS
Hurst caught one pass for 11 yards on three targets.

Zacch Pickens – BEARS
The rookie made his first career tackle and finished with a total of two tackles.

Jalen Brooks – COWBOYS
The rookie wide receiver was inactive as a healthy scratch.

Rico Dowdle – COWBOYS
The forth year back combined for 46 yards of total offense including a 15-yard receiving touchdown. Dowdle had three receptions.

Stephon Gilmore – COWBOYS
Gilmore finished with three tackles. He also deflected a pass.

Israel Mukuamu – COWBOYS
The third year defensive back was inactive as a healthy scratch.

Nate Adkins – BRONCOS
In what was a historically rough day for Denver, Adkins made the most out of this snaps. He made some key blocks while also hauling in his first NFL reception for 11 yards.

Kingsley Enagbare – PACKERS
Enagbare had four tackles including three solo, a TFL, and deflected a pass.

Keisean Nixon – PACKERS
The DB did a little bit of everything on Sunday. On defense, he finished with three tackles, all solo, and deflected a pass. He returned one kickoff for 24 yards, one punt return for no yards, and ran for 11 yards on one rush on offense.

*Rush is currently on the Chiefs’ practice squad. He was re-signed by Kansas City last week.

*Zack Bailey – CHARGERS
Bailey is currently on the Chargers’ practice squad

Ernest Jones – RAMS
For a third straight week, Jones finished with a team-high in tackles. This weekend he racked up nine tackles including seven solo, a TFL, and deflected a pass. His nine tackles were also a game-high.

Cam Smith – DOLPHINS
The rookie defensive back was inactive as a healthy scratch.

Nick Muse – VIKINGS
For a third straight game, the second-year tight end was inactive as a healthy scratch.

D.J. Wonnum – VIKINGS
Wonnum finished with one tackle and two QB hits.

*Kevin Harris – PATRIOTS
Harris is currently on the Patriots’ practice squad

Adam Prentice – SAINTS
The veteran fullback appeared in 31 percent of the Saints snaps on offense but failed to record a stat. On Saturday, he was fined $5,222 for unnecessary roughness in the first quarter of the Saints-Panthers game from Week 2.

Dennis Daley – CARDINALS
After suffering an ankle injury during the final preseason game, Daley is currently on IR. That means he’ll miss, at minimum, the first four games of the season.

Rashad Fenton – CARDINALS
Like Daley, Fenton began the year on IR and will miss, at minimum, the first four games of the season. Fenton’s injury is “undisclosed.”

Chris Lammons – COLTS
Lammons began the season suspended for three games for “violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy.” He’ll be eligible to return in Week 4.
