Gamecocks in the NFL: Week 8 recap

After a quiet Week 7, a handful of Gamecocks stood out in Week 8 in the NFL.

Here’s a look at how every former Gamecock player in the league did this past weekend.

Javon Kinlaw – 49ERS
The veteran defensive lineman finished with one tackle and was credited with one QB hit.

Deebo Samuel – 49ERS
For a second straight week, Samuel was out of the lineup due to a hairline fracture in his shoulder.

Jovaughn Gwyn – FALCONS
For a second straight week, Gwyn was inactive as a healthy scratch. Week 6 remains the only week that the rookie OL has been active.

Jadeveon Clowney – RAVENS
Clowney finished with two tackles and two QB hits.

Jaycee Horn – PANTHERS
Horn remains on IR after injuring his hamstring in Week 1.

Hayden Hurst – PANTHERS
Despite being targeted twice, Hurst failed to register a reception.

Zacch Pickens – BEARS
The rookie was credited with two tackles, including one solo.

Jalen Brooks – COWBOYS
Brooks was inactive as a healthy scratch

Rico Dowdle – COWBOYS
The veteran running back finished with 25 yards of total offense on five carries and two receptions. He also returned one kickoff for eight yards.

Stephon Gilmore – COWBOYS
Gilmore racked up four tackle and defended one pass.

Israel Mukuamu – COWBOYS
The defensive back was active but failed to register a stat.

Nate Adkins – BRONCOS
Adkins didn’t register a stat but he made some key blocks at tight end in the Broncos upset win over the Chiefs.

Kingsley Enagbare – PACKERS
The outside linebacker finished with two tackles with one being a tackle for loss.

Keisean Nixon – PACKERS
The veteran defensive back had five tackles and defended two passes. He also returned three kickoffs for 62 yards an one punt return for six yards.

Darius Rush – STEELERS
Despite being active, Rush didn’t play.

Zack Bailey – CHARGERS
The offensive lineman was inactive as a health scratch.

Ernest Jones – RAMS
Jones finished with a game-high eight tackles, including five solo, and one tackle for loss.

Cam Smith – DOLPHINS
The rookie defensive failed to register a stat.

Nick Muse – VIKINGS
For an eighth straight game, the second-year tight end was inactive as a healthy scratch.

D.J. Wonnum – VIKINGS
Wonnum was credited with three tackles including two sacks, a TFL, and three QB hits.

*Kevin Harris – PATRIOTS
Harris is currently on the Patriots’ practice squad.

Adam Prentice – SAINTS
The veteran fullback remains on IR with a knee injury.

Dennis Daley – CARDINALS
Daley played 74 snaps at left guard.

Rashad Fenton – CARDINALS
Fenton began the year and remains on IR.

*Chris Lammons – COLTS
Lammons is currently on the Colts practice squad.

Taylor Stallworth – TITANS
Stallworth was placed on IR on this past Wednesday with an undisclosed injury

*Shi Smith – TITANS
Smith is currently on the Titans’ practice squad.

*Damiere Byrd – CARDINALS
The veteran wide receiver was signed to the Cardinals practice squad on Oct. 19
