Gamecocks in the NFL: Week 9 recap

With bye weeks kicking in, there were several former South Carolina Gamecocks who weren’t in action this week in the NFL. Here’s a look at how some of the Gamecocks performed who did play.

Hayden Hurst – BENGALS
Hurst was targeted five times and caught all five passes for 35 yards.

Kevin Harris – PATRIOTS
The rookie running back was inactive as a healthy scratch for the third straight week. Harris made his NFL debut in Week 6 after starting the year on practice squad.

Kingsley Enagbare – PACKERS
The rookie had one solo tackle.

Keisean Nixon – PACKERS
The defensive back had two tackles and defended a pass. He also returned a kickoff 33 yards.

Jaycee Horn – PANTHERS
The defensive back racked up six tackles, including five solo.

Shi Smith – PANTHERS
Smith caught one pass for 20 yards. He also returned one punt return for five yards.

Ernest Jones – RAMS
The linebacker continues to shine this season for the Rams. Jones finished with seven tackles, including five solo. He also had a tackle on special teams.

Ryan Succop – BUCCANEERS
Succop was a perfect 3-for-3 on field goals with a long of 50 yards. He finished with a total of 10 of Tampa’s 16 points.

Mike Davis – RAVENS
The running back didn’t see any carries but he did have one reception for one yard. During that play, he also pancaked the DE on a chip before the ball was thrown to him.

Bryan Edwards – FALCONS
Edwards was inactive as a healthy scratch.

Damiere Byrd – FALCONS
Byrd was targeted once on Sunday but failed to register a reception.

Melvin Ingram – DOLPHINS
The linebacker finished with two tackles, a sack, and a tackle for loss.

Brandon Shell – DOLPHINS
After being called up recently from practice squad, Shell has looked strong at right tackle in both passing and run game.

D.J. Wonnum – VIKINGS
Wonnum had one sack. He also was credited with two QB hurries.

Dennis Daley – TITANS
The Titans rushed for 175 yards and and allowed three sacks.

A.J. Cann – TEXANS
The right tackle was inactive with an illness.

Chris Lammons – CHIEFS
The DB had one tackle on special teams.

Stephon Gilmore – COLTS
The veteran defensive back had four tackles, including three solo.

Browns: Jadeveon Clowney – DE #90
Cowboys: Rico Dowdle – RB #23, Israel Mukuamu – S #24
Steelers: Carlins Platel – DB #30
