Gamecocks sign hard-hitting South Carolina native Damarcus Leach

This year’s Early National Signing Day serves as the formal ushering in of recruits in the class of 2025, who are choosing which team they would like to play for this upcoming season and beyond.
One of those prospects, Abbeville (S.C.) safety Damarcus Leach, has decided to put pen to paper and sign with South Carolina.

South Carolina Gamecocks recruiter: Torrian Gray
Other scholarship offers: Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech, Duke, Wake Forest, Vanderbilt, Michigan
Why South Carolina?: “I’ve always been a Gamecock fan growing up. That played a part. My mom loved the campus, the communication was great between Coach Gray, Coach White, Coach Beamer. Even Coach Furrey reached out to me. Seeing the consistency, it was just the cherry on top.”
