Gamecocks, Staley claim SEC regular season title | GC Minute: Fri., 2/24/23
For the seventh time since 2014, Dawn Staley and the Gamecocks are SEC regular season champs after taking care of Tennessee last night 73-60. Zia Cooke continues to shine and led USC is scoring again, with a team-high 19 points. Brea Beal added a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds. Even though they already beat LSU, the Gamecocks can prevent the Tigers from getting a share of the regular season conference title if they can beat Georgia on Sunday. A win would also give USC their first undefeated regular season in program history. That game at Colonial Life Arena is already sold out.

Each weekday we’ll highlight some of the biggest USC sports headlines of the day in a 60-second video on our YouTube page. Most of those words will appear in a written story here. We’ll add an additional link, most of the time premium, below each GC headline in case you want to learn more.
To sum it up: it’s to get you all caught up on any of the biggest stories of the day, or over the weekend, that you may have missed.
