Hayden Hurst returning to the Carolinas
Former South Carolina tight end Hayden Hurst is reportedly returning to the Carolinas.
The former Gamecocks standout is expected to sign with the Carolina Panthers, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reported that it’s a three-year deal.

Hurst is coming off a great season with the Bengals when he caught 52 passes for 414 yards and a couple of touchdowns.
The 29-year-old former first-round pick has also spent time with Baltimore and Atlanta and has 177 catches for 1,717 yards and 14 touchdowns in his five-year NFL career.
A Jacksonville native, Hurst originally joined the South Carolina football program as a preferred walk-on after beginning his professional sports career with Major League Baseball.
In three years with the Gamecocks, Hurst collected 100 receptions for 1,281 yards and three touchdowns on his way to being selected No. 25 overall in the 2018 NFL Draft.
