How Texas A&M is preparing to play the Gamecocks
Texas A&M upset Mississippi State 72 to 56 in game three of the SEC Tournament. The Aggies have to face the No. 1 Gamecocks next and they just want to stick to their game plan.
Sophomore Janiah Barker said to prepare the team would watch film, scout and have a walk-through.
When Texas A&M played South Carolina during the regular season, the Gamecocks won 99-64.

“The first game wasn’t the best, didn’t have the best outcome,” Senior Aicha Coulibaly said. “We’ve got to come out and fight like every minute of the game…just follow the game plan and stay composed and play our game, not get intimidated.”
Coulibaly led the team against Mississippi State with 17 points.
Joni Taylor, Texas A&M’s head coach, said when her team last played South Carolina they weren’t aggressive enough.
“We let them score in transition, we didn’t rebound well, we had a really, really bad game,” Taylor said. “South Carolina was the reason why, let’s give them credit for that. They took us out of what we wanted to do.”

This time around, Taylor has another game plan based on where things went wrong.
“We have to stay composed, make sure we force them into the halfcourt, not let them get out and score in transition, because they’re electric there,” Taylor said. “Their best shot is their second and third shot. We have to make sure we do a good job on the glass and limit them the longshot.”
