How to watch the South Carolina baseball regional
There’s good news and bad news for South Carolina baseball — the Gamecocks are back in the postseason where they belong but if fans want to watch this weekend’s Columbia Regional in the NCAA Tournament, they’re probably going to need a subscription, at least for the first game.
South Carolina’s first game of the NCAA Tournament vs. Central Connecticut State (7 p.m. first pitch) will be carried on ESPN+ and currently does not appear to be on SEC Network or SEC Network+. Derek Jones and Roddy Jones are on the call. This link takes you directly to that game.
The rest of South Carolina’s potential regional games are currently officially considered TBA, though they’ll definitely be carried on ESPN+, which offers the opportunity to watch every single regional game across the country.

All South Carolina games also will be broadcast on the radio on the Gamecocks Sports Network from Learfield with Derek Scott and Tommy Moody on the call, locally from our friends at 107.5 The Game.
ESPN+ is ESPN’s subscription service and, unlike SEC Network+, does require a separate subscription than your regular cable provider. ESPN+ costs $9.99 per month and fans do have the option of cancelling after just one month in order to just watch this weekend’s games.
If South Carolina wins Friday night’s matchup and advances to Saturday night against the winner of Campbell and N.C. State, then that matchup is listed as TBA for TV though it will also be carried on ESPN+ for sure with a 6 pm first pitch.
There does at least seem to be some chance that this game will be picked up by the SEC Network. That’s the case for the loser’s bracket game on Saturday too.

The TV for those games is officially designated as TBA right now, though again, ESPN+ would guarantee the ability to watch.
On Sunday, both the loser’s bracket game and the Regional championship game are listed as TBA and also scheduled for ESPN+ with the first game set for noon and the second for 6 p.m. There is also a chance those games will be picked up by SEC Network, according to the online schedule.
Monday’s if necessary game is also on ESPN+ with a chance of being picked up by SEC Network.
ESPN+ is viewed through the ESPN App. The app is available on Android, Amazon Fire TV, iOS, Chromecast, Roku, Samsung Smart TVs, Apple TV, Kindle Fire, Android TV, PS4, XBox and Oculus. If you don’t have any of those, you can always simply go to Watch ESPN on any browser.
Every game of regional play – 112 games across the 16 regional sites – will be simulcast on ESPN+ and showcased on Squeeze Play Presented by Capital One with extensive surrounding coverage of all the post-season action.
Squeeze Play is home for around-the-clock multi-game coverage, weather updates, scores, highlights and more through the College Baseball Regionals. The platform will feature up to four live games simultaneously throughout the weekend. Matt Schick and Kris Budden will combine to host Squeeze Play with analysts Chris Burke and Mike Rooney.
