As South Carolina football returns home to Columbia, GamecockCentral.com staffers predict some things that may happen on the field against Jacksonville State.

CHRIS CLARK: Pete Lembo’s special teams nearly broke through with a huge play against Texas A&M.
Against teams that are more overmatched from a personnel standpoint, we have really seen the Gamecocks’ special teams shine in the past.
I am not ready to say it’s going to be a score, but I do believe this is a game in which Beamer/Lembo Ball is going to have a say. I think South Carolina makes a big, impactful special teams play in this one.

WES MITCHELL: After going through its three-game October slate without forcing a turnover on defense, the Gamecocks will start the month of November by creating several on Saturday against Jacksonville State.
Turnovers tend to come in bunches and the combination of a Jacksonville State offense that isn’t efficient in throwing the football as well as a complementary South Carolina offense that should be able to help put them in some of those throwing scenarios by scoring points, could lead to several situations where the ball is in danger.
The Columbia-based Gamecocks will take advantage of those and create three turnovers in this one.

KENDALL SMITH: South Carolina needs to create a lot of offensive opportunities in this game to regain confidence. With that being said, I think this game will be all about accentuating Spencer.

No more messing around, put the game on your best players’ shoulders. With a good mix of explosive plays and sustainable offensive drives (cough cough, making improvements on first down), I think South Carolina will find itself in the red zone quite a bit.
I predict that Spencer Rattler has a Will Levis moment on Saturday and throws for 4 TD’s.
MIKE UVA: Heading into this weekend, Mario Anderson has only cracked the century mark on the ground once this season (Tennessee).
Not only will Super Mario rush for over 100 yards against Jacksonville State, but he’ll run for over 130 yards. It’s a feat that one Gamecock has been able to achieve in South Carolina’s last 32 regular season games.
JACK VELTRI: South Carolina will cover the spread and win by 20 this week. But if I’m giving an in-game prediction, I’ll go with the defense to force three turnovers. Just feels like it’s time.
