In-state athlete Jaquel Holman signs with South Carolina

It’s signing day in South Carolina, and signatures from prospects continue to roll in for Shane Beamer’s Gamecocks program.
The latest player to sign his paperwork with South Carolina football is Blackville-Hilda High School (SC) linebacker Jaquel Holman.

Holman is rated by the On3 Industry Ranking as a four-star prospect. He is also ranked No. 428 nationally, the No. 10 player in the Palmetto State, and the No. 47 linebacker in the class of 2025.

Why South Carolina? “And what stood out the most was the way they took care of me and my family. We had nothing to complain about,” Holman said in September. “Basically what they said was they’re losing some key players on defense next year so I have a good chance of getting a lot of play if I come there and be ready to work.”
