It’s officially decision day for another South Carolina basketball target in the 2023 class.

Local prospect Arden Conyers is expected to announce his college decision early Monday night with South Carolina in the mix for him.

The 6-foot-6 wing will publicly announce his commitment Monday at 5 p.m.

Conyers’s most recent offer is from Lamont Paris and the Gamecocks, picking it up early last week.

He also has offers from Wofford, Radford, Winthrop, Georgia State among others.

Conyers plays locally at Westwood High School. On3 does not have him rated yet.

The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, which utilizes machine learning to forecast college decisions, has South Carolina as the favorite to land him.

Jamie Shaw also put in his expert prediction for the Gamecocks to pick up their second commitment in as many days.

South Carolina also picked up a commitment Sunday as well in the form of Collin Murray-Boyles.

Murray-Boyles announced his decision Sunday afternoon while committing privately to the Gamecocks’ staff Friday afternoon.

On3 considers the 6-foot-7 forward is considered a three-star prospect.

“USC, they were just consistent. They hit me up and kept a consistent connection with me. They were just there supporting me. All my games, I would see at least one coach from USC at my games,” Murray-Boyles told GamecockCentral.

“Knowing they’re making me a priority. Plus they play in one of the best leagues. That’s even better. To have a team that cares about you and wanting you to play the best competition and be the best player I can be.”

Both Murray-Boyles and Conyers play on the same Upward Stars grassroots team. South Carolina’s staff was very active watching the AAU program over the course of the summer.

South Carolina is coming off a 2022 class that signed three high school players, two of which are top 150 prospects nationally.

The Gamecocks signed five-star GG Jackson while also getting with three-star point guard Zachary Davis. On3 ranks Jackson the No. 10 player in the class while Davis checks in at 146 nationally.

The other is three-star forward Daniel Hankins-Sanford, who On3 doesn’t have ranked currently. He checks in as the No. 181 player nationally in the On3 consensus rankings.
